  1. May seem a very obvious question, but for some reason I just can’t figure out why the turning point cannot be a minimum rather than a maximum as displayed above?

    1. Hi Felix, thanks for your comment. You’re absolutely right: imagine just taking the curve and flipping it upside down, and this would meet all the criteria. The question asks us to sketch ‘an example’ of a curve that fits the criteria, implying that there is more than one answer. So nothing to worry about.

      1. Thank you very much for replying so quickly! That makes a lot of sense, hopefully this Wednesday will go okay… Rather worried about the graph sketching.
